Data Retention Policy

What we store
- Audio and video files you upload (stored in Cloudflare R2)
- Generated transcripts and captions
- Project metadata: title, language, author, timecodes
- Account data: name, email address, organisation role
- Usage logs (transcription minutes, costs)
Retention period by plan
The retention clock starts from the last time you accessed a project. You will receive an email warning 14 days before deletion.

* Enterprise plans can set custom retention periods in organisation settings.
How to keep your data
- Sign in to Capsiynau and open any project - this resets the retention clock.
- In Account Settings, find the Data Retention section to see and keep projects approaching deletion.
- Upgrade your plan for a longer retention period.
Exporting your data
Before deletion, you can export any transcript as SRT, VTT, EBU-TT, or TTML from the project editor. Exporting is free on all plans.
Right to Erasure (GDPR Article 17)
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. We will process requests within 30 days.
To submit a deletion request, email hello@capsiynau.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
You can also delete your account directly from Account Settings - this will immediately delete all your data.
